An HD-only feature in 2x12

I cant really say this is an easter egg because it's part of the story line, but this was only viewable to people with HD.




You can clearly see a plane (the drug plane? It doesn't really look at like it, but its a plane.) on the left side crashing. Right when it "crashes", the dove appears and flies toward Charlie. I don't know what this means at all...maybe that their visions are "canned" or something? Who knows.

But I figured those of you without HD might want to see the plane crashing, since we *heard* it flying in the scene.

At first I thought that the dove was the plane (mostly due to the sound effect) until it cut to Charlie and the bird flew behind him.

And I don't even have HDTV. :-p

De Plane, De Plane!!!

Thanks for posting that, I was wondering where the damn plane sound was coming from.

If you look at the tail of the plane as it crashes, it appears to have two tail fins(?) I don't think commercial airliners have those, maybe it's the drug plane? (Color isn't a help due to the washout they did on the scene.)

I'm too lazy to go through and look to see if the plane in Mr. Eko's ep had those tail fin thingies. But I'm sure someone with more ambition will check up on it.

I have a PCI card in my computer that is an HD tuner. I just buy the HD service and tune in and record. Then I load my recording into a program called VirtualDub and pull the frames out one by one and animate them. It's a whole process, but its fun...hahaha.

I have to say that to me, it looks more like a commercial plane than a beach craft. But then again, it could be the Goodyear Blimp. Maybe Aaron is in danger of the SuperBowl.

Woah, I totally wish I had HDTV right now. TV shows keep rewarding people with HDTV's with little hidden parts or with tiny detail. Plus my TV is so dark I can barely see anything on Lost.

The Drug Plane

Beechcraft are unique to having dual rudders and elevators, as well as tails.

That is in fact the beech that we know as the "drug plane" due to its crashing pattern: how the engines were squalling, as well as dying in and out as it descended.

The podcast mentioned some kind of sign on a music-related building in a London skyline shot. I certainly don't recall anything like that, so will have to check it out again. I thought that's what this thread would be about, but I guess not.

Rationally Speaking

It's Charlie's vision/dream, right? So in the most boring episode ever, he's struggling with the monkey on his back. It probably doesn't mean anything that he sees the drug plane crashing in his dream. I mean, he saw the plane in real life, and he saw it full of drugs. I'm not sure this means anything but instead, is a red herring.

The first thing you see in the episode is a painting of Jesus gtting baptised ( In charlie's first dream) In the background you see a very similiar black object flying. check it out

Go back and look at the plane that Kate was so intent on keeping. The toy plane. looks an awful lot like that.

i know a little something about the plane

If you guys go to www.oceanic-air.com (one of the official websites for the show) and you mess around a little- you will find the same plane in the lower left hand corner flashing. I believe its oceanic flight 777..... If from the main page you click the green tab 'find', it then takes you to the seat page. I dont know what they mean, but ive seen the picture of the HD plane and the flight "oceanic 777" flashing in the left hand side.... wierd, huh?

also in the site you get the plane seating chart and the pre-board check in and the name ethan rom appears and you rearrange the letters to spell other man and get a clip of a show.

I don't have HD, but I definately saw and heard it. I didn't know it was supposed to be hidden I haven't heard the latest podcast yet.
